Properties we operate produce real-world input. That input feeds The Lab, where systems are built and proven. What proves useful leaves The Lab by one of three routes: The Journal publishes what matters, The Method teaches proven systems, and The Stack turns selected systems into products when it makes sense. All three feed back into the operation.

03 · The Journal
AI, technology and lessons from inside real property operations.
It never said which ones it hadn’t. What a contractor needs to know before the next visit, and why the fix starts with the record.
We filmed 60 percent of the risers in a 1948 building and decided to replace all of them. The 40 percent we skipped were the ones replaced in 2009. The problem was not the survey. It was that nothing in the record said where the survey had stopped.
We use more AI tools than ever. We find the question of which one is best less and less useful.
